  Rizla Suzuki riders fresh for Brno 2008-08-07
Rizla Suzuki MotoGP travels to Eastern Europe next weekend fully refreshed from the mid-season break and with all the team ready to attack the second half of the season with confidence. Chris Vermeulen heads to the 5,403m Brno circuit in the Czech Republic as very much one of the in-form riders in the MotoGP paddock. Vermeulen went into the break with back-to-back podiums in Germany and America and will be giving his all to get a hat-trick at a circuit where he performed well last year. Vermeulen finished fifth at Brno in 2007 following a race-long battle for that position with present team-mate Loris Capirossi and current World Championship leader Valentino Rossi.

  Craig Jones passes away 2008-08-04
After terrific incident in Supersport race in Brands Hatch incident, British Supersport rider Craig Jones died early this morning at 00:43 while being treated in the Royal London Hospital. Jones suffered crash while fighting for race victory in lap 7, when he lost his rear wheel and fell in Clark Curve. Andrew Pitt was right behind Jones and tried to avoid him, but they were too close and Pitt hit Jones. HighRevs.net joins sends its deepest sympathies to Craigs family and friends.
  Provisional 2009 MotoGP calendar announced 2008-07-25
The FIM has announced the provisional MotoGP calendar for 2009. The season will remain at 18-rounds, with the first race proposed for the evening of Sunday 12th April at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar, and finishing with the traditional season-end race at Valencia in Spain on Sunday 8th November.
  Jorge Lorenzo immobilised for 10 days 2008-07-23
Jorge Lorenzo will be wearing a cast on his left foot for the next ten days, in order to recover from the clean fractures he sustained to his third, fourth and fifth metatarsal bones last Sunday. The Fiat Yamaha rider was taken directly to the USP Institut Universitari Dexeus in Barcelona upon his return from Laguna Seca, in order to undergo a series of examinations by Dr. Xavier Mir. The Spaniard was injured in a crash on the opening lap of last Sundays U.S. Grand Prix, the final round before the MotoGP summer break.
